Dr. Pearrell is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute (Diploma, Evangelism ‘75), Trinity College (BA, Bible ‘81), and Wheaton Graduate School (MA with honors, Christian Ministries December, 1982). He received his Ph.D. in Theology from Christian Bible College in Rocky Mount, NC. His wife Myra, is also a graduate of Moody (Diploma, Bible and Theology ‘74), and currently works for the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff (Lieutenant). Pastor John and Myra have an adult son, Colin (BS Biology, BA Psychology, BSN) who is a Registered Nurse.
Pastor Pearrell has been in full-time Christian Service since 1975. In addition to his duties as pastor, he is a regular columnist for the Rockdale Citizen and Covington News, chaplain for the City of Conyers Police Department (and Reserve Police Officer), and has taught as an adjunct Professor of Theology, Evangelism, and World Religions at Luther Rice College and Seminary in Lithonia.
